We had approximately 80 people come to the service and the meal. Volunteers provided a meal of turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, dressing, rolls, cranberry sauce, pies and cobblers. After the meal we handed out clothing, coats and blankets. It was a blessed evening.
Our site is finally indexed by Google. We don't have a number 1 ranking yet but we're now on the first page of results for the search terms "Church Under the Bridge."
We made some additional changes to the site today to try to increase the ranking plus to achieve a ranking for the search terms "Church Under the Bridge San Antonio."
We also changed the color scheme of the site slightly to tie in better with the Church Under the Bridge San Antonio logo.
We have received the preliminary cost of our building project. Now we’re ready to start fund raising, approaching businesses for support with labor, materials, expertise – you name it! This is a very exciting time for Church Under the Bridge and we’re confident God will continue to reveal His perfect plan for Church Under the Bridge.
Please be a prayer warrior for us We need your prayers for:
1. Patience for God to continue to reveal His plans in His perfect timing.
2. The people as well as the city government of San Antonio will embrace this project as a community service for God’s glory.
3. God will touch the hearts of many willing lend their time and their treasures to honor our Lord.
4. All of us at Church Under the Bridge will unreservedly accept God’s timing and plan.
What an exciting time at Church under the Bridge! We have some of the top people/companies in their field helping us move forward with our brand new building for Church under the Bridge. The donation of time and effort from these people and companies is a blessing as it stands, but wait there is more.
Last week, the CUB building committee meet with HB Zachry (Backup General Contractor) and Urban Concrete (General Contractor). Permits should be in our hands within the next 45 days. By Next Thursday, we will have costing estimate from HB Zachry to give us an idea on what this building will cost. From there we will be able to go out in the community and start to visit with companies that will assist us in the build. The Beyer Boys already have a set of plans and we should know something by the end of the week on what they can do for us. Looks good.
Also last week, some of us had a chance to sit down with Community Bible Church leaders and building a Church. They were really excited about this new church and have offered to assist us along the way. Upon receiving the costing estimates, we will sit down with them and start to put a name to each of the line items to see who will be the best companies and banks to talk to.
More information coming in the following weeks . . .
